    ABOUT 8th CONTINENT SOYMILK:

    8th Continent soymilk is made from U.S.-grown soybeans, and is an excellent source of calcium.     It is the only American Heart Association-certified soymilk with less than 3 grams of fat.  8th Continent soymilk is available in four different varieties: complete, regular, light, and fat free. Also, all 8th Continent soymilks are lactose free, vegan, and Kosher U certified.

    Beginning this spring, the soymilk made from U.S.-grown soybeans, will be helping families rise and shine with the unveiling of its new carton featuring cheery sun graphics.  In celebration of its new look, Stremicks Heritage Foods is inviting children and their families to submit their own sun-inspired artwork in the 8th Continent “Draw Your Own Sun” art contest.   You can vote for your favorite work of art every day until July 11, 2010. The number of public votes in the online gallery will determine 50 contest winners and a panel of judges selected by Stremicks Heritage Food will determine an additional  50 winners.  The 100 winners will each be recognized with  $1,000 in art supplies for their school art programs –  for a grand total of  $100,000!  Winning designs may also be featured on 8th Continent soymilk cartons beginning this fall!

    MY THOUGHTS:

    I had never tried soymilk before and was honestly hesitant.  I am not a big milk drinker to began with as I really only drink it with cookies or cereal.  Well I bought one gallon of regular 2% milk and a carton of 8th Continent Soymilk, and I was surprised that the Soymilk was gone in no time!  It is a smooth tasting drink, tastes fine to me!  I thought it was great with cereal too!  I think it would be fine to drink everyday, but since we go through a lot of milk, I probably wouldn’t buy it for regular use but definitely every now and then!  It actually would be great for my husband and I to drink since we only drink milk occasionally.  I do like the health benefits though of Soymilk over regualr milk and It is more of a sweeter milk.

      I have tried soymilk. I buy it as cow’s milk upsets my stomach at times, and I don’t drink as much as I should of milk.

      I have only had soymilk in smoothies before never plain. I would like to try it more often for the nutritional value of it for myself as well as my children.

      I have tried soymilk…I had a coupon for it and I normally don’t like the taste of regular milk, but soymilk was not too bad.

      i tried soymilk as a teenager and didn’t like it but i know it has gotten better and i would love to try it again for the health benefits.

      I HAVE tried some brands before because I have developed milk issues…I am willing to try this brand! More so now, as my husband has started farming a small parcel of soybeans and am learning more about their VALUE and healthy part of eating!

      I have tried soymilk before, it was a while ago, but I remember liking it in cereal, but not to drink. Though, like you, I am not a big milk drinker.

      I have tried soy milk and drink it regularly. It was weird at first, but now I like it and cow’s milk is the one that tastes weird.

      I’ve never tried soymilk before, but I’ve had almond milk and it’s amazing. I am concerned about the hormones and additives in regular milk.
