Okay so I am not a history buff, but I know a lot of people do enjoy reading and learning about historic events. My brother is one of them and he is like a walking encyclopedia with historical facts and always defending his points of view on events. Well two other men, Dwain Young and Brian Thomas, also care about history so much that they created a line of clothing call the Resistance line to memorialize important events in history, spark conversation, and spread cultural awareness. It is from Wazaa Ardhi Originals Apparel, which is a U.S. clothing company inspired by history and the civil rights movement. This new line of urban streetwear clothes is for both men and women to express their views through street style apparel. The shirts say “Resistance” and then the City Name with the year. If that is not a conversation starter, I don’t know what is. I would definitely be curious seeing someone wearing a shirt like that, especially since I don’t know really any of the Resistance events they are referring to on their shirts.
The shirts come in black, brown, and white and sizes Small – 5X, prices depending on size. Just by clicking on a shirt you can read about the event that happened and view a video if there is one available.

I like the idea. I think I’m going to look into the line more. I was a kid then, but I remember what happened in Chicago that year. I had family in the area and they were freakin’!
