    ABOUT:

    The new Infiniti Pro by Conair 1875-Watt Salon-Performance AC Motor Styling Tool is a salon-performance blow dryer for the everyday woman.  It has an AC motor that is typically designed for hair stylists and salon use.

    The benefits of an AC motor:

    • Quiet yet powerful air velocity to dry hair faster and lessen heat exposure and damage
    • Offers a true blast of cold air when the “Cold Shot” button is pushes to better set your style or provide lift at roots
    • Lasts up to three times longer than a typical (DC motor) hair dryer
    • Generates neutralizing ions to seal the hair cuticle, reduce frizz and enhance shine.

    The Infiniti Pro also features 3 heat and 2 speed rocker switches for heat and airflow control along with two attachments to help achieve desired styles.  A removable filter prevents damaging lint buildup to further extend motor life.

    MY THOUGHTS:

    I have been using a basic, cheap blow dryer for so long, I did not know what I was missing!  The Infiniti Pro not only blow dries my thick hair in minutes but it doesn’t leave it feeling dry and damaged.  Now I know I blow-drying damages your hair after awhile but this blow dryer really does try to minimize damage by working quickly and efficiently.  I especially love the two attachments it comes with as it makes it easier to blow-dry my hair straight and in sections.  I also never thought of kind buildup until I looked at my old blow dryer and saw how dirty it was inside but that I couldn’t get to clean it out.  With the Infiniti Pro, you just pop out the back, clean it and snap it back on!  The Cold Shot button too is pretty neat as it blows cold air out to cool and style your hair.

    Other than an AC motor, this drier also features Ionic and Ceramic technology, which my hairdresser has mentioned are important to look for.  Ionic technology means that it has an electronic ionizer that generates negative ions, which neutralize positive ions in the atmosphere.  This process flattens and seals the hair cuticle, reducing frizz and creating a shine.  Ceramic technology means that ceramic is ground up into a powder and then added to a high-temperature paint, which is then applied as a coating to the outer grill.  This results in infrared heat that promotes uniform heating to safely dry and promote healthy-looking hair.

    I really have nothing bad to say about the Infiniti Pro by Conair.  It is reasonably priced, says it will last three times longer than traditional blowers, is easy to clean, already comes with two attachments, and has a few settings to choose from.  It is a little heavier than I am used to but for a salon quality tool, I don’t mind it and since it blow dries my hair so fast it is not like I am holding it that long!  If you are looking for a fast but quality blow drier, I highly recommend the Infiniti Pro to make drying and styling as painless as possible!

      I only use the blowdryer when it’s cold outside to protect my hair from damage. It’s now October…and cold outside, so I use conditioner every time I shampoo and hope that it helps some. It’s not much, but it’s what I do.

      My favorite way to keep my hair healthy is to get it trimmed every two weeks and do a deep conditioning treatment as well. I use a lot of hot tools so my hair fries easily! Doing this really helps!

      I protect my hair by rarely using a blow dryer at all, but I have a short cut. My daughters and granddaughter all have long and very thick hair, which needs to be dried before they put it into whatever managed style they pick for the day–braids, ponytail, etc.

      What a great question, when I am blow drying my hair I never hold it in one place and use a diffuser so the heat and styling products combination doesn’t ruin my air. When I don’t have anywhere to go I don’t put styling products in my air at all.

      If you use a light weight leave in conditioner that you spritz on while your hair is still wet/damp then you can greatly protect your hair from styling damage, especially heat damage….

      I have waist-length hair, so this is very important to me… I actually don’t own a blow dryer because I’ve always been worried about damaging my hair.

      For me, I avoid excessive heat, and only use styling products recommended by my hairdresser.
