    Accutire’s programmable digital tire gauge is an easy-to-use, multi-featured gauge with an extra large, blue, backlit LCD screen and ergonomic styling. It measures PSI from 5-99 pounds in 0.5-pound units, and includes the patent-protected Set Point programmable feature, which allows for recording the factory-recommended tire pressure for both front and rear tires. Other helpful features include a white LED flashlight to make checking tire pressure at night or in the garage a cinch; an audible pressure signal; auto off; and a five-year manufacturer warranty.

    MY THOUGHTS:

    For whatever reason my tires are always low, especially with the crazy Chicago weather we have here.  What is nice about the Accutire Setpoint Tire Gauge is that it lights up so on a digital screen so no more trying to guess what number the little stick popped out at!  You can also program it so it remembers your recommend tire pressure, which is nice because my husband and I have different tire pressure limits and we are constantly checking them manuals.  My husband found this Tire Gauge very easy to use and I find him checking our tire pressures more often!  The idea too is that by checking your tire pressure you will save money on gas because properly inflated tires use less gas!  So hopefully this will be a small investment that will pay off in the long run!

      I only check my tire pressure about once a month during cold weather. During the warmer months I check it every time I fill my gas tank.

      My husband used to check it every few months til our tire gauge was stolen, so now we don’t check them because we don’t have a tire gauge.

      I should check them more but it seems like I only check them if indicator light is on or if it looks like their is a problem by just looking at them.

      I check my tire pressure when my indicator light comes on. This would make it so much easier though…I have such a hard time working the old fashioned gauge.

      I barely ever check my own…I have the garage do it when they change my oil, or I do it if I feel I’m having a problem with my tires (they look low or the car’s pulling to one side). But my husband checks his frequently (with his old boring guage) because his “low tire” light in his car is VERY temperamental!

      I am SCARED to say I never do and wonder if my husband does…but know my daughter who is 23 has a LOT lately and this is who this would be for. (again, last night at midnight…another flat tire after work. uggh)

      Does it count that you check it when you are stranded on the side of the road already with a flat? Perhaps this would help prevent a repeat of that. Thank you

      I don’t check my tire pressure (ever), but I really should, especially since my light is on in my dashboard telling me to check the tire pressure!!

      I don’t check my tires air pressure often enough maybe once every 4 or 5 months but with a gadget like the Acuutire Programmable Digital Tire gauge I think I would check it at least once a month or more. In turn I would get better gas mileage saving me some money.

      I check my tire pressure every other month. When I first got my driver’s license, my father taught me how to check my tire’s pressure. He handed me a new gauge, and watched me check each tire. A good memory.

      I check my tire pressure on a monthly basis, or when the weather has a changed from hot to cold, to make sure that they are a the right tire pressure. I have the old fashion stick pressure gauge and this would be really nice to have the digital reader, instead of guessing what what the pressure is around.

      I don’t own a tire gauge so I’ve never checked my car’s tires’ pressure. At this point I just rely on the mechanic to either fill the tires if they’re low or I ask my husband to look at them.

      Alas, the most frequent way I check my pressure is the light on my dash that tells me when i’ve run over ANOTHER nail. This sure would save me some trips to the gas station!

      I’m terrible about checking mine, just for the reason you mentioned- it’s hard to read the little stick thing and I can never remember what it’s supposed to be anyway!

      To answer the mandatory question, Well, I don’t have a car myself, but my husband has a pickup and to be honest, I don’t know how often he checks the tires. But knowing him, I reckon he gets around to checking a tire when it’s just flat on one side.
      I know he doesn’t have a fancy gadget like this.

      I’ll admit that I never check it until my tire pressure light comes on. I don’t like to check the tire pressure because I’m afraid I’ll be wrong and overfill the tires! This product my make me feel better about accuracy.

      We tend not to check the air pressure. It’s part of the oil change routine which is about 3X a year. And yes, we should and you need a reliable guage to check.

      Usually a few time a year, however lately I’ve been checking my one tire daily…it’s had a slow leak. Finally got it checked and learned there was a nail in it.
      This gauge would be alot handier then the crappy one i have right now.
