This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of NAVTEQ. All opinions are 100% mine.
My husband has a 2005 Acura with an in-car navigation system (yes we bought it just before our 1st child was born) and loves it. He has noticed though how much has changed as far as roads, stores, landmarks and landscape. There are now roads and highways where just years ago there was farmlands. This year he asked for a map update for his car which I found is super easy to do. You just buy an updated DVD and install it in your car for new highways, subdivisions, business, and points of interest. It is a little costly ($185 for an Acura TL update) but it will save you money in the long run as far as wasting gas, driving the wrong way, and missing out on points of interest.
NAVTEQ is the company who technology and maps are in most of the in-car navigation systems. I know my husband totally relies on his and with it being so out of date, it is pretty obsolete right now. A map update from NAVTEQ will really help you in the long run getting you to your destination efficiently, quickly, and without wasting fuel or time! Updating your in-dash navigation system would probably be especially helpful if you do a lot of holiday driving!
