I remember my dad had a huge collection of Beer Glassware. He had mugs and cups from all over and had them on a narrow wooden shelf that went all the way around the family room. It was strange but it worked for their house. I never understand his fascination with them, as he never used them, but I think it was just his collection and it could have been worse!
Now it is funny because my husband has been collecting items for the bar we will someday have and so my mom started his collection off with his first Beer Stein. Now I never realized how intricate and detailed some are. I had really only seen the ones from sports teams, Oktoberfest, and some other miscellaneous one. I also never realized how expensive some are, but I guess when you are collecting something money isn’t the first priority. I am still waiting to see if my husband will get as crazy as my dad, and if so then I will be hitting thrift stores and such to see if I can find some funky ones there! I think it would be great to put on display behind his bar, but then I think of dusting them and that does not sound like fun!
Here are some neat ones I came across online:

I will never forget the beer stein we saw in Gordonsville, Virgina with a Swastika on it from Nazi Germany–$200.
