MY THOUGHTS:
First let me say Just Dance 2 kicked my butt! I can do about five songs before I am worn out! I have never played a dancing game on the Wii before so I wasn’t sure what to expect but it definitely wasn’t so much fun! I love the music which definitely made it easy to get up and start moving. First off you choose the game mode you want: Classic, Royal Flush, Duet, Simon Says, Medley or Race. There is also a Just Sweat option which lets you choose how often and how many songs you want to dance to each day for a dance workout. It even has a a sweat gauge to check out! There is also nothing special that you need to buy to play. I don’t have Just Dance 1 and it didn’t matter. All you need to play Just Dance 2 is your Nintendo Wii and a controller (not even the nunchuk.)
Don’t want to dance to the whole song? Check out the Short Version of the song which is about half the time. I have been doing the Just Sweat every day and my favorite is the regular Just Dance version. I turn on the game pick a song and start dancing. I will admit that I can only get one star for my dancing skills (yes it is out of five stars.) It is my motivation though to keep playing since I am determined to get more stars! I also love all the songs and since there are so many to choose from and ways to play, I dont’ think I will be bored anytime soon! You can also choose to have the words of the song on the screen.
The best part though about Just Dance 2 is that is a Pay & Play Game, if you have your Nintendo hooked up to an Internet connection. What that means is that you can download additional songs for a fee. I noticed most songs cost about 300 Wii Points, which is only a few dollars. I did though find the Kate Perry song “Firework” for Free! I think it is awesome that you can expand the song list to songs you choose without necessarily buying a whole new game/disc. Sometimes there is just that one song you want and now you can get it.
BUY IT: Look for “Just Dance 2” wherever video games are sold or check it out on Amazon for $29.99 (Wii).
