MY THOUGHTS:
I don’t think I had ever heard of or seen Schleich figurines until now, but I am glad I have now! They are adorable hand-painted figurines that are tough and durable. They really would be perfect to collect and display or for kids to play with. I received a bunch of the new animals from the Wild Life collection and my boys love them. They are small and perfect for little hands. Like I said too they are tough, we have animals that are plastic and you can basically bend them or crack them in half, the Schleich animals definitely take playtime abuse!
Overall, I am impressed with Schleich and have no complaints. They can be somewhat expensive per animal, but when you think about how they will last especially through multiple kids. For collectors they would really nice on a shelf!
The book “Anywhere’s a Playground: Schleich 75th Anniversary” is a great book to look through or just leave as a conversation piece on your coffee table. It is full of great pictures and stories about Schleich’s history and so forth. It is also a great size and since it is a circle hardcover it makes it look unique. I really liked it since I was not familiar with Schleich.
