MY THOUGHTS:

I absolutely love this camera!  I have always been a D-Link fan, but the DCS-930L Wireless N Network Camera has become my new favorite.  It says it is ready to use in 3 Simple Steps and really it was that easy to install, and we installed it on our Mac which sometimes products only like Windows computers.  My husband was actually so excited about this product that he opened it up and set it up immediately!

The first thing I love about this camera is just how small and compact it is, but yet still powerful.  We had no problems with adding it to our wireless network and have never had any signal issues with viewing the live images.

We decided to set this camera up in our boys room because I like to be able to keep an eye on them.  Since they are both in the same room now they don’t go to bed right away, but rather play or fight with each other.  The camera allows us to know if we need to go up there and intervene.  I have really come to depend on the camera so I am not constantly going upstairs to check on them.  I can view the camera right from my laptop or pull it up on our iPod Touch and iPhone.  Since the camera is so small my boys don’t even notice it but it does have a blinking light so it is only a matter of time before they are suspicious and curious.  I still don’t think they will care though since it is small and it doesn’t make any noise to bother them.

My favorite feature of this product though is that it really is easy to move around if needed.  So when we go on vacation we will probably move it down to our front door to be able to monitor that while we are gone.  Yes we will be able to view what is going on at our house while we are on vacation!  I really don’t have any complaints about this camera, especially for the low price of $119.  I mean yes I would love it to be able to move around but then the price would go way up and we were able to angle it where we can see what we need to.  It does have to be plugged into an outlet so we had to take that into consideration when deciding where to put it.

This D-Link camera would be great for anyone really, whether tech savvy or not.  It does the job and is so easy to set up!  We are actually going to purchase another one of these cameras for when the baby is born so we have one in each kids room.  I might go for one of the other mydlink-enabled cameras that work with low-light so I can see what’s going on in the dark.  The DCS-930L only works when the light is on, otherwise you really can’t see anything.  Although I have seen other baby monitors that are so expensive ($200 and up) and they barely have a visible image.  The DCS-930L may not work in the dark, but in the light the image is pretty crystal clear.

The best part though is that you can hear sound on this camera!  So while I am sitting downstairs I can not only see my boys but also hear them (which may or may not be a good thing!)

Overall, I am very impressed with the this New Wireless N Network Camera.  My husband can check on the kids from work, I can check on them from our family room, and I could even give our mydlink login info to our parents if we wanted so they could view the kids.  The camera is just so versatile and easy that home surveillance (or baby monitoring) has never been so easy for the average user!
