I was very fortunate that when my first son was born my in-laws bought us a whole nursery set. The set they bought me was from Kmart and included a convertible crib (not one of those fancy cribs with storage), armoire, changing table, and glider with ottoman. It looks great still and has stood up through two kids. It will now be used for our third child and from there I don’t know. We could use it when she grows up or maybe I will pass it on for another baby born in our family, but I don’t see that happening anytime soon.
Not that I would go buy another crib or nursery furniture at this point when ours is only 4 years old, but I do like looking around. I didn’t have much choice with the set I got other than the color because my in-laws had a budget and I was grateful for whatever they were going to get us! I have seen some nice davinci cribs while looking around online but that’s as far as I go. There is even a real nice davinci kalani convertible baby crib that I love but I am grateful for what I have. I couldn’t imagine spending all the money on something I already have and will only use for a short time. Maybe though someday I will be able to buy a set like that for one of my grandchildren!

My parents bought me an expensive crib but I moved so many times and my little guy used to stand there and shake it so much that the dowels started to come loose!
