I absolutely love the idea of a diaper cake. Honestly it is so much more practical than flowers, I won’t say clothes as those are definitely needed but flowers will die and can actually be quite expensive. When I had my first child, I received a diaper cake at my baby shower but it was actually constructed with towels and washcloths and while it looked nice, I didn’t really need any more towels (not to mention they were not high-quality towels either.) I had no idea that there were diaper cakes made with actual diapers until I heard about Diaper Cakewalk.
I am definitely hooked now on Diaper Cakewalk and will be purchasing them for all our friends, when they finally start having kids! Don’t get me wrong I loved and appreciated all my new baby gifts, a diaper cake from Diaper Cakewalk would have really been something I could show off and use!
What is great too about the cake is no glue, tape, pins or anything else that could damage the diaper (or baby) is used, so you can use all the diapers as if they were right out of the diaper package! Oh and the diapers are not the cheap ones either, they are premium Pampers Swaddlers diapers. Then attached throughout the cake is name-brand baby care products from companies like Johnson & Johnson, Gerber, Burt’s Bees, & Playtex. The cake can be taken apart easily, layer by layer as needed.
I will say though that the cake comes packaged so nice and wrapped up that I hated to actually open it up, but then again I also didn’t want those size 1-2 diapers to go to waste either! I also wanted to use up the little bottles of products and put the plush puppy on display. It was also nice that it didn’t fall apart and nothing was damaged – it shipped to me perfectly! Diaper Cakewalk also has different sizes and decorated cakes to choose from? I love them all!
Looking to learn how to make a diaper cake? Diaper Cakewalk also sells diaper cakes that are undecorated so you can add your favorite ribbon and decorations. I think it would be fun to decorate a cake but I don’t think I could ever craft one myself! I love decorating though and adding special touches so I think I might prefer to do this method as long as I had the time, if not I would have no problem choosing one of the already designed Diaper Cakewalk cakes!

I’ve bought a cake from DiaperCakeWalk.com in the past. The quality was nice but on the center of the diaper cake, you see a visible hole. They could roll a diaper and put it in the middle to cover the hole. Otherwise, it was a really good cake!
