    Yankee Doodle Sing-a-ma-jigs Review (& #Giveaway Ends 9/2)

    Set to stand out among the fireworks, the Sing-a-ma-jigs! ™ dolls from Mattel are free-spirited, off-beat plush characters that set off unexpected laughter and excitement with each squeeze of their tummies! They chatter; they each sing their own song; and when kids put them all together and squeeze their hands and then squeeze their tummies again, they erupt into a harmonic chorus like none heard before  As their motto says, “They Love Singing Together,” and when they do, they sing together in perfect harmony each and every time.

    There’s even The Sing-a-ma-jigs! character, decked out in stars and stripes, that sings the National Anthem. If Uncle Sam were here, he’d definitely “want him.”

    MY THOUGHTS:

    I had actually never played with a Mattel Sing-A-Ma-Jig before checking out this Yankee Doodle one and it is adorable.  I actually want to get more now because I think it is so cute how they will sing with each other and harmonize (yes I was checking out Sing-A-Ma-Jig videos on You Tube.)  Each Sing-A-Ma-Jig is unique to its chatter and song too, which makes them of course collectible!  My boys get a kick out of it and love that it is so easy to squeeze its belly to chatter and sing, you do though squeeze its hand to change the mode from Tempo, note and chatter.  I admit the design is funky (hair scrunchie looking mouth?), but it is definitely kid-friendly and appealing to them!  The body is also super soft and it is perfect kid-sized at about six inches tall.  The Sing-A-Ma-Jig does require 2 “AA” batteries but it includes them.  Its cute and nice for  a change for a stuffed animal that does something, and my kids get a kick out of the singing (especially that they can control it.)

    BUY IT:  The Yankee Doodle Sing-a-ma-jig is available in all major retailers and Wal-Mart for a suggested retail price is $13.29.  Check it out at Toys R Us.
