    Emergen-C Kidz Review (& Giveaway Ends 10/3)

    Emergen-C Kidz is a specially formulated powder drink just for kids that includes key vitamins, minerals, electrolytes and antioxidants, which play a big role in metabolism and energy.  It is available in three kid-tested flavors:  Fruit Punch, Orange and Grape.

    Emergen-C will also donate 25 cents to Vitamin Angels to provide essential nutrients to one child for a year, helping reduce childhood mortality worldwide.

    MY THOUGHTS:

    My 4 year old is a picky eater and yet very active.  One thing he loves though is juice, which is why giving him Emergen-C was super easy.  He assumed it was like Kool-Aid and was so excited to pick out his flavor!  He of course picked of Fruit Punch, which has 250 mg Vitamin C!  All you do is take the powder packet and pour it into 4-6 oz. of water then stir.  The more water you use the less powerful of flavor – I use about 7 ounces of water and put this in his sippy cup.  Emergen-C is for ages 4-13 years and can be taken up to two times a day.  The Fruit Punch flavor has only 25 calories and 5 grams of sugars.  Each box contains 30 packets which can be a whole month’s worth supply if you just give your child one a day!

    Overall, I was impressed with the flavor of Emergen-C Kidz.  I have tried other vitamin-like drinks with my boys and they were not fans.  I figured too even if they didn’t like the flavors I could just mix them in with regular fruit juice for an added boost!  I figure we will be need all the help we can get this winter will both boys in preschool and all the crazy illnesses going around – I am all about Vitamin C boosts!  I have never tried Emergen-C for adults either so I may have to pick up some boxes for my husband and I!

      I keep them healthy by feeding them well-rounded meals as well as make sure they take their vitamins, and make sure they wash their hands regularly.

      I don’t like to have the heat up high because then it is more of a shock to the system going out into the cold compromising the immune system.

      I don’t have kids (thank goodness!) so I only have to worry about keeping myself warm and toasty all winter! I usually try to up my vitamin C intake to keep colds away!
