    Family Togetherness

    For Midwestern dairy farm moms, mealtime provides a cherished opportunity to create family memories. They have a couple tips on how to maximize family time during this busy season:

    • We use holiday mealtime to have real conversations as a family. No cell phones are allowed! Sit down at the table (not in front of the tv), share a tasty meal and talk about your day or the things you are most thankful for. — Susan Anglin, Anglin Dairy

    Entertaining Made Easy

    Entertaining is often a major component of the holidays for all families. To help keep your guests happy (and full!), Midwest dairy farm moms share tips and favorite recipes:

    • Cheese trays make a tasty and nutritious appetizer. To add seasonal flair, buy cheese in block form and use holiday cookie cutters to create festive shapes; save the scraps for casseroles. — Barb Liebenstein, Wolf Creek Dairy

      My favorite dairy product is Kozy Shack Rice Pudding. I eat some every day.. BUT, I freeze it and eat it like a popsicle 😀

      I love all dairy products but cheesecake is my favorite. Sadly, I am currently breastfeeding a babe who is allergic to dairy so I just have to watch the rest of my family enjoy the things I wish I could eat!

      My favorie dairy product is whole milk. With it, I can make all kinds of things myself, including cheese and butter. I can make yogurt and rice pudding and mac’n’cheese…well, you get the idea!
