MY THOUGHTS:
I really liked this movie and I admit I was skeptical. I watched this with my 3 year old who was so excited about the robot fighting. Now there is some swearing but no nudity (or real romance) and since it was robots fighting I thought it was less than real-life fighting. I don’t let my kids watch actual boxing but this movie was more fun since it was robots and left us rooting for “Atom.”
The movie starts out with Hugh Jackman’s character basically being a dead-beat dad to a kid he never met. He of course falls for the kid and they become a great team. The movie has you rooting for the underdog and getting mad at the bad guys. The kid is inspiring and the movie is actually one I could watch a few more times! My husband liked it because it reminded him of Rocky!

I was surprised by the amount of swearing, especially right at the beginning but we really liked it too.

Me and my Dad and my little brother Connor watched Real Steel last night. It was mostly great. I liked how the boy was smarter than his Dad but he still loved him. I was hoping that the robot Atom would become more alive or something. We are going to watch it again. We got out some toy robots after the movie and made them box. My Dad liked the movie too. Anson.
