While I am not a huge seafood fan, I do like lobster, some shrimp, and white fish. When I am in the mood, we head over to Red Lobster. With unlimited Cheddar Bay Biscuits to delicious seafood, I have yet to have a bad a experience there. Well before Red Lobster restaurants atmosphere were just okay to me but recently I noticed my local one being remodeled.
My husband and I got the chance to check out our local remodeled Red Lobster and were amazed at how nice it looks. Don’t get me wrong it looked okay before but it definitely looks amazing now. I mean we have been to fancy seafood restaurants before and I honestly considered Red Lobster below them, but now they are right there with them.
The Red Lobster redesigns were inspired by the seaside fishing villages of Maine. New exterior features reflect architecture you’d find throughout New England, including a stone tower, ship lanterns and Adirondack-style chairs to encourage conversation and mingling. Inviting interiors now welcome guests with cozy booths, softer lighting and nautical décor such as signal flags and seaside-inspired artwork.
Since I have a terrible memory and maybe are not the most observant person in a restaurant, I asked our server what was different. I did notice right when I walked in how nice everything looked, but I couldn’t put my finger on exactly what changed. She pointed out a few things such as:
- No divided half walls – basically a big open eating area
- Real plants
- Bigger table/booths for large parties
- New paint
The overall atmosphere definitely took Red Lobster up the scale for me. My husband and I sat at a nice big booth and felt at ease. Our food as always was delicious and I love that our waitress let me substitute my shrimp with no problems. I will say the prices seemed a little higher than I remember but I feel the quality of the food and quantity was worth it to us.
Besides the redesign, Red Lobster has made a few other exciting changes to their restaurants. The offer a Today’s Fresh Fish Menu featuring five to eight selections of fresh fish daily, a signature cooking platform, the Wood-Fire Grill and a Quick Caches Lunch Menu. You can even check out the Today’s Fresh Fish Menu on the Red Lobster website before you go! Most recently they debuted new TV commercials that feature real Red Lobster employees talking about what’ different at Red Lobster and a new modern logo.
