    Purex Triple Action Laundry Detergent Review

    In order to update their detergent line, Purex has just rolled out their new Triple Action formula across the entire liquid laundry detergent line.  This new and improved formula delivers even better on Purex’s promise to leave your clothes bright, white and clean, and for the half the price of the leading brand!  After a year of research, scientists have come up with this even better Purex formula.  It uses the current formula contents, plus new additions to really attack stains!

    This new formula, just like the current detergents, has been specially formulated to work in both traditional and High Efficiency (HE) washers.

    MY THOUGHTS:

    As a new HE washer owner, I love that I can continue to use Purex without a second thought.  They are a brand to most often turn to because of their affordability, toughness on stains and smell.  Now I usually pre-treat stains but I don’t always catch them and even if I do it doesn’t always matter.  I love that Purex has redesigned their formula to be tougher on stains, whites, and be gently on colors.

    I have been using new Triple Action Free & Clear Purex for a few weeks now and it has been great.  It is tough on stains and gentle were it needs to be.  I have actually been using it in place of Dreft for Olivia’s clothes.  It is a perfect baby clothe’s formula since it is free of perfumes and dyes, but still tough on stains!  While it doesn’t really have a smell, it does leave her clothes smelling clean somehow!  With five of us in my household, I also need a laundry that is affordable and Purex is well within my laundry budget.  I am always amazed at how some people think only the most expensive products work the best, when often that is not the case.  With its new Triple Action formula I am hoping to pre-treat less and throw less stained clothes away, only time and dirt will tell!

      My husband gets grease on him from his job. I try to wash them immediately but I can’t always get the stains out.

      The most recent tough stain I had to get out was crayon stains on my husband’s khakis. One of the kiddos had a crayon in their pocket and it went through the dryer. What a mess!

      I had to get caked-on rawhide off my bed … the dog dragged the bone up onto the bed to chew while I was showering. whoops. :’)

      It seems I always manage to get grease on my midsection area, due to being short, when I am in the kitchen. These type’s of stains always present a problem to remove for me.

      We have rusty water and there was a bad rust stain on my daughter’s jeans…was tough but I got it out!

      Not a stain, but last week I had an extremely hard time trying to get the smell of cigarette smoke out of some clothest I got from Ebay 🙁

      this is perfect for me! I have an unhealthy obsession with laundry detergent!….I have a knack for removing stains and have not met one that I could not remove….among the hard ones… gorilla glue and paint but I took them out….Purex is one of my favs! Its great for my husbands dirty work clothes along with a few extra ingredients….it works great especially since you can virtually get it free when you coupon! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!

      Some of the hardest stains i have to deal with, are from dh’s work clothes, he works at a shipyard, and there are constantly oil/grease stains on his clothes

      My son is a soccer player and is always coming home with grass stains on his uniform. I found using the oxiclean works really well.

      one of my cheerleaders washed her uniform with jeans and the whole thing turned blue!!!!

      I used Purex of course to get it out!

      I have a 7 yr old boy. Needless to say, stains are a regular part of my routine. He recently had a popsicle at school. Red. On his white sleeves. Yikes! I ended up soaking it in borax for an entire day and night before it lightened enough to not be visible.

      ketchup or sause from whatever i’m eating. I always drop my food on my clothes. I have been accused of wearing more than I eat. LOL

      It has been awhile since I had a tough stain to work on, but the most recent was getting some grease off a towel that my grandson grabbed to wipe off a tool rather than a rag.

      I had a really tough blood stain on my shirt. I didn’t realize it was there, so I threw the shirt in the hamper, giving it time to set, then I washed and dried it, and it hasn’t come out ever. Grr.

      grass, dirt and who knows what food from my sons soccer uniform (volunteer hours, we spent about 8 hours at the soccer field over the weekend and I forgot to bring a shirt for him to change into-oops!)

      Poor Mouse took a tumble several evenings ago and cut his bottom lip on his new teeth. After cuddling and having him suck on a cloth wet with cold water, I realized he got blood all over the shoulder of one of my favorite sweaters. I’m still fighting to get that stain out.

      over the holidays, my niece threw a ball and when it bounced it hit my boyfriend’s arm while he was holding a glass of red wine…it stained his shirt and it was hard to get out!

      Splatters from frying Chicken has got to be one of the worse stains. I have learned to put on an old shirt before I start.
