Duraflame Campfire Roasting Logs
ABOUT:
Duraflame has just launched one of the biggest innovations in the company’s history since the creation of the firelog: Duraflame Campfire Roasting Logs.
This is the first firelog designed specifically for campfire roasting. It is formulated with real wood charcoal and tested for safe cooking, which means it is perfect for any type of outdoor use – backyard fire pits, family camping trips, hiking excursions, beach fires, and roasting marshmallows.
Features:
- Individually wrapped logs for clean handling and easy, no hassle lighting.
- Made from 100% renewable resources, including real wood charcoal
- Compact – easy to transport and store
- Just one 6lb bundle of 4 logs uses 75% less fuel per fire than a typical 24lb. bundle of firewood but produces more heat per pound than firewood.
MY THOUGHTS:
While we don’t go camping yet with our boys yet, we do host backyard campfires often in the summer. I love not only the size of Duraflame Campfire logs, but the ease of use. We normally buy actual firewood and hope its not wet and lights when we need it to but it doesn’t always happen. With anxious kids, we need a fast fire! My boys loved being able to help too since they were safely able to carry the wood to the backyard. My husband thinks they are the coolest thing since he was a big camper before us and good wood was a commodity.
You can see the size of them compared to my cell phone:
Thin and triangular:
We set up a s’mores night with the neighbors and kids, and used the Campfire logs in their firepit. We used three logs, and within no time we had the fire going. You keep the wrappers on and just light the logs. It does suggest to wait 45 minutes being cooking but we waited about 15 minutes until we started our s’mores! Kids had a blast and the Duraflame logs were a hit!

I do a lot of camping out of my old Jeep. Carrying firewood takes up a lot of valuable space, while finding and cutting wood once at the campsite is not only a lot of work, I always feel like even taking a falling tree is damaging the forest. Seeing that the Duraflame Roasting Logs burn more efficiently than firewood, I could carry these and free up some Jeep space.
