So traveling to New York this year really opened my eyes up that I want to see more of it. It’s funny too because I first visited New York two years ago for BlogHer but I was so busy and honestly then I didn’t care to really tour the city. This year though I decided to go on a boat cruise with my friends to see some sites off the Hudson River. One of those sites was the Jersey Shore and it was nothing like I expected. It was just a quick passing but it intrigued me. The only thing I know of Jersey is Snookie.
So of course I decided to check out Jersey online which there is Central Jersey website (http://www.gocentraljersey.com/). The website has so much information on everything Central New Jersey, including Hotels, Dining & Nightlife, and Things to Do. The first thing I checked out was the Top Ten Things to Do in Central New Jersey, yes there are kids things included! From the Festival of Ballooning to wine tastings to baseball with the Somerset Patriots and Crystal Springs Family Aquatic Center. I think it is awesome how they do Plays in the Park. Not that we are golfers but there are actually some of the finest golf courses in Central New Jersey.
I love how I could plan my whole Jersey trip with actual trusted recommendations and links. I am thinking it would be a nice trip for my husband and I to visit first alone and then maybe bring our kids later on. My in-laws actually visited the Jersey Shore a few years ago and had a blast lounging on the beach, bicycling and just relaxing. That sounds pretty nice to me!
Have you ever been to Central New Jersey?

I was born and raised in NJ and have lived in central NJ since I was 12. We KNOW Central NJ. But don’t just hang in the central part; Northern NJ has some wonderful forrests great for hiking, and there are tons of bed and breakfast places up there to stay in for a real experience. We are in the New Brunswick area, so we get to experience all the cool stuff around us without going more than 20 minutes from home. And yes, the plays in the park(which are in our hometown) are really awesome :).

I have lived the last 23 years of my life in Central & South Jersey & it’s nothing like people think. We are the Garden State for a reason.
Snooki is actually from NY. 🙂
Nice seeing you again (briefly) at Blogher.

You too! I totally forgot about the Garden State title!
