Laundry is something that is never-ending in my house. Even when I think I did it all, there is still the clothes we are all wearing and there is always a pile somewhere that find later on. So really laundry can truly never be 100% done, I know its depressing to think about. In addition to the never ending laundry there are the stains I have to tackle from my three kids. Between two boys and a toddler who spills everything, I have a lot of stains that I am constantly battling. The worst though is when I wash something that had a set-in stain that I didn’t catch.
Well recently I added 20 Mule Team Borax to my laundry mix and it has changed my laundry-time for the better.
20 Mule Team Borax is a laundry detergent booster and multi-purpose cleaner. It increases your detergent’s power and controls odors to give a fresh, clean laundry feeling. Its ingrediant is Sodium tetraborate, which is a natural mineral.
It is safe for all washing machines (including HE machines) and septic tanks. All I have to do is ½ cup to every load along with my regular detergent and it helps fight tough stains while deodorizing and freshening clothes. I love it too because we have hard water and it helps the water work more effectively. We do have a water softener but I will take all the extra help I can get. It is also a natural alternative to ColorSafe Bleach. Using this Borax, definitely makes my clothes feel nicer and fresher and I haven’t noticed stains so I am assuming it is working its magic.
Like I said, 20 Mule Team Borax is also a Multi-Purpose Household Cleaner. In addition to clothes, it also works it magic on your household.
- Toilet Bowls – Sprinkle ¼ cup into the bowl then let it stand overnight.
- Garbage Disposals & Drains – Sprinkle 2-3 tablespoons in the drain and flush with water
- Carpets and Rugs – Dab on as a carpet cleaner and then vacuum.
- Dishwasher – Boost your dishwasher detergent to remove water spots and film.
- Kitchen – Clean your counter and appliances with some Borax on a sponge
Other than the ways I mentioned above, there are really an infinite amount of uses for the Borax. I am loving that I can use this throughout my house and loving that it is 100% natural. No crazy chemicals around my house, which I worry about with things my kids touch and use and no chemical-smells.
Overall, I love how useful and effective 20 Mule Team Borax is. It is a box of powder that is easily added and used wherever I need it. I actually haven’t found anything that I can’t use it with!
BUY IT: Look for 20 Mule Team Borax at your local Walmart, Target, Kmart and at many other major retailers.
WIN IT: (3) US winners will receive a coupon for FREE 20 Mule Team Borax
