So my 6 year old wanted a LEGO-themed party and so I headed out to our local party store. I bought plates, some LEGO hanging decorations, napkins but the LEGO centerpieces were ridiculously priced. It was just paper stand-up things and like $10 for a small set. I decided to buy a LEGO tablecloth with a white middle and had my boys make their own centerpieces! They had so much fun building LEGO creations to display as centerpieces and it kept them busy while I got ready for the party.
Not having a LEGO-themed party? Don’t worry! You can incorporate this idea into any party! Just buy a tablecloth, whether it be a designed one or solid color, and pick a centerpiece to use. Having a Car-themed party, use Hot Wheels or other cars. Angry Bird party? Use Angry Bird toys you probably already have lying around. Any theme party you have I am sure you already have items laying around the house which is why your child picked that theme! Even if you don’t have the items to use, there are free printables all over the Internet that your child can color and you can tape them to something to display.
No more pricey centerpieces for me! From now on we will be making our own and I love incorporating my kids into the party setup.

I love p[laying with Lego’s. I know they have a convention for Lego connoisseurs and also a convention for buildings made of Lego’s. I saw a whole house of furniture made of Lego’s.
