It seems like everyday there is news about how bad this or that is for you. I try to do what I can for my family, but obviously we can’t change overnight. I do though esepcailly try to keep our house clean and healthy because I have three little ones here pretty much all day long! One way I am creating a healthier and safer home is by replacing some plastic in our house with glass and wood products. I recently realized I was using some products that were my great grandma’s, which means they were really old and probably full of chemicals and toxins. Now don’t get my wrong, I am not throwing away everything and starting fresh, as that would cost a fortune for us, but I am slowly replacing items here and there.
Mighty Nest is a website that makes it easy to shop, get tips and find natural, organic and non-toxic products all in one place! All the products they sell are free from known toxic ingredients such as: BPA, PVC, Phthalates, Lead, Melamine, Formaldehyde, Flame retardants, Parabens and more. While you can certainly find those products in various stores, it is nice that they are all in place. From kitchen items to baby items, household decor to beauty products, Mighty Nest carries a little of everything!

Yea, it’s an interesting challenge to change things over! We started about 2 years ago, changing to cast iron and glass. Cast iron is really tricky! Almost dropped a pan on my foot once, it skid off my ankle, thank God, or I probably would have broken it! Nice to meet a fellow MightyNest blogger!

Oh cast iron scares me because of how heavy it is and how I would probably drop it on my toes!

Thanks for being a Mighty blogger! The first thing I did was replace the plastic in my kitchen too. It makes such a difference with my peace of mind.
