    Paris, 1910. Panic sweeps the city as floodwaters rise and a monster is on the loose!

    Meanwhile a wacky inventor, his camera-crazy best friend, and a madcap monkey are on a mission to protect the beast, Franc, as he holds a rare and special talent. With the help of the beautiful but feisty singer Lucille, the team harbors the monster to keep him from the ghastly wannabe Mayor, Commissioner Maynott, who has a plan to capture Franc and reveal him to be nothing more than a monstrous danger to the people of Paris.

    From Bibo Bergeron, the director of Shark Tale, and starring Adam Goldberg, Jay Harrington, Bob Balaban, Sean Lennon, Vanessa Paradis, Danny Huston and Catherine O’Hara, A Monster In Paris is spectacular fun for the whole family.

    Okay so honestly I had no clue what to expect from this DVD other than it wasn’t the traditional Disney or Pixar DVD, but something different.  I am so glad we watched it because it really is a great movie.  The movie is about Paris back in 1910 where there is flooding and a supposed monster loose.  The monster turns out to be pretty silly and the movie has lots of singing with an easy to follow plot line.  The mayoral candidate decides he is going to catch the monster to make himself look good and that turns out to be a mission.  My boys, 4 and 6, actually asked right away to watch it again, which we did!  I like that the movie is different and other than the characters being super silly, they are pretty memorable.  I like the “monster” the best, even though he turns out to be quite odd.  I can’t say too much about the movie without giving anything away but it is a good family movie, if anything for a good laugh.

      My granddaughter watches over and over – Finding Nemo – Often enought that I hear Bruce the Shark in my dreams at times…LOL)

      it’s not a typical kids’ movie, but my sons are hooked on Star Wars right now. they love the Lego Star Wars games and decided they were ready to watch the Star Wars movies, so now they love them too!

      My daughter has been really enjoying scaring herself with the movie “Coraline” lately. She begs for me to put it on for her, but she can only sit all the way through it if someone sits down to watch it with her. =]
