    O-Duster Robotic Floor Cleaner {Review}

    With three kids I am constantly cleaning and my floors are probably the worst!  Between my family tracking dirt and debris in or just the regular dust that accumulates, I feel like it is a never ending battle with my keeping my floors clean.  In my house I have carpeting in the upstairs and basement but my main level which we spend most of our time is hardwood floors.  Since I don’t have time to keep up with it all, I was excited when I got the O-Duster to check out!

    The O-Duster is an innovative new product from O-Cedar.  It is a robotic floor cleaner that simply dusts your floors with just one push of a button.  It grabs dust and pet hair with its electrostatic cleaning cloths that you attach on.

    Right out of the box, the O-Duster is assembled and ready to be charged.  It recommends 12 hours to completely charge the O-Duster and then it ready, I just charged it overnight.  You get three electrostatic cleaning cloths in the box and you just stick it to the O-Duster and turn it on.  There are two settings:  short (30 minutes) or long (120 minutes).  There are no other buttons or settings, which I like because sometimes devices are so complicated I never use them!  My 20 month old can actually turn this on herself!  For my house I was surprised at how well it worked.  I admit I thought it would get stuck or jammed on something but it didn’t!  It would hit a wall or toy and then just start going the other way.  The black circle around it that holds the clothes, is flexible and easily slide under my couches, cabinets and made it move nicely.

    The O-Duster works on all hard floors such as wood, tile, laminate, linoleum and marble.  It will not work on carpet and does not have a vacuum on it.  The O-Duster simply picks up dust and pet hair on its own, like the dry-cloth Swiffer.  I turn it on and let it go while I clean the rest of the house and it is nice piece of mind.  I would though like if it sucked up crumbs and such like a vacuum or if you could add a wet cloth to mop the floors, but then again it would make it a lot more expensive.  I don’t have any pets (other than my kids!) but I bet this would be awesome for all that pet hair!  You also have to buy an O-Duster Refill kit (for around $10 for 20 cloths) pretty soon after buying the O-Duster because you only get three cloths with the O-Duster.

      I have two kids, a dog and two cats. This would be awesome to have to clean up the daily hair and dust. What would I do with my extra time, spend more time outside with the kids!

      I stay at home, take care of my mother who is in the middle-late stages of Alzheimer’s. Also, my two grand daughters ( 5yr. & 2yr.) come one a week spend the day & night. Gorman is our cat, we res use when she was days old, she is now 4. I would love to win O-Duster, it will help me get underneath my mother hospital bed & help pick up Gorman hairs, when she sheds. Plus, the grit my two g- daughters bring in from going in & out.
      If I won O-Duster, it will help me over-all, I have to swept, the house, when I put my mother to bed. Then, I could get couple more hours of sleep.

      Well, I could get all the laundry done and dishes done. And as soon as those 2 things are out of the way, my daily “chores” could be done, because the floor would already be swept. =D

      Our entire house is hardwood floors so not having to spend 2 whole days cleaning them would be amazing! That would free up 2 days every month for something else, like time at the park with my kids this summer!

      I just got bamboo floors and am elated I don’t have to vacuum my high traffic areas as much. This would help keep those areas clean and I might have more time to sit down and read a book or focus on school work.

      I would love to win this for my son who has hardwood floors. He is always so busy working that there’s not much time left for cleaning. I’ve seen his floors looking rather dusty, so this would be such a nice gift!

      We live in VERY RURAL NW AZ. We live on 54 acres in the middle of a HUGE cattle ranch. We also have a HUGE lummox of a black lab, who sheds constantly. I would love to try this out. I would have tried it out already, but my husband is extremely skeptical. It would be worth it to me just to run once a day to get rid of the dog hair. Our floor is polished stained cement, so I am assuming this would be perfect for your product – Pick me, pick me!!!!

      I am constantly trying to keep my floor clean…on a daily basis there is grass, dried mud, dust, crumbs, you name it… The O-Duster would be an amazing and super cool way to clean up the daily debris WHILE I do other things….multitasking is my motto…while the floor is getting cleaned up, I can definitely be doing other things…like cleaning up after my hubby, daughter, or dog! 🙂

      I would love to say I would take a well deserved nap but there’s just too many tasks on my springtime to-do list. I guess I would have more time to do other cleaning tasks and outdoor projects while O-Duster cleans the floors.
