    I Love Redbox But I Do Miss Actual Video Stores

    I vaguely remember heading to my local video store and browsing the aisles for a movie.  It’s sad because when I was younger, heading to the video store and getting a VHS (yes VHS!) was the highlight of the weekend.  I remember walking down the aisles and checking out all the video boxes and making mental lists of which video I would get next time.  I can’t even remember when the change was made to DVDs, but honestly I loved the simplicity and durability of VHS tapes.  My kids will never know what a video store is, but they will definitely remember us heading to the local “red” box outside Walgreens and the grocery store to pick out a movie.  Don’t get me wrong I love Redbox and with On Demand and Netflix nowadays, there are so many movies available, but to me getting rid of actual video rental stores is like getting rid of a library!  I mean you can get books online and a book stores, so why do we need libraries?  Because we do!

    Redbox is cheap though, you can’t beat $1 a movie!  So while I can’t give you the experience of walking around your local video store I can give you the gift of a Redbox movie.

      I love Redbox! it’s sad to me that all the blockbusters and such are going out of business but Redbox is just so much cheaper and so much more convenient.

      I’m almost embaressed every time I use a Redbox (I used to run Hollywood Video stores). I miss movie stores too. I love the classics like Aresnic & Old Lace or How to marry a millionair.

      My all time favorite movie is the buttercream gang. I remember watching it when I was a kid and I loved it, haven’t seen it in a while though.

      I have so many movies that I love, but one of my all time favorites is “What Dreams May Come” I’ve seen it many times! Some people think it’s depressing but I think it’s uplifting.

      My fave right now is The Vow. I like all Nicolas Sparks books & movies. My all time fave is The Wizard of Oz. This would be a fun thing to win. Thank you 🙂

      Walk The Line. I just adore that love story and they did such an awesome job at making it right. I haven’t seen the Lifetime version of it starting Jewel yet, but I’m looking forward to it! 🙂

      I have too many favorites!!! :O ‘The House of the Flying Daggers’ is my main I guess. But there’s also ‘Hero’, ‘Lord of the Rings’. ‘Knight and Day’, ‘Killers’, ‘Date Night’, ‘A-team’, ‘The Losers’, ‘Mulan’, and just about every Jackie Chan movie out there!!!! >.<

      I am a movie buff and like so many – To Kill A Mockingbird is the movie I have watched the most times. And for a comedy – can’t get enough of Napoleon Dynamite.

      I love the movie, Across the Universe. It is a combo of the Beatles music with a story of the 60’s. What a great flick!

      It is hard for me to say one favorite movie when there are so many that I love 🙂 I would have to say that Tangled and Les Miserables are definitely in the top 5 🙂

      Favorite movie of all time would have to be Labyrinth. Not only is David Bowie my favorite music start of all time but the movie itself is adorable. <333

      My favorite movies are Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood, Fried Green Tomatoes, and Steele Magnolias. 😀 Can’t pick just one, but they go in the reverse order! 😀
