    Skylanders Homework Pack & Cards!

    Disclosure: I was not sent anything but didn’t want my readers to miss out.

    Ever since Christmastime, my kids have been addicted to Skylanders and by addicted I mean totally in love with and can’t live without!  I honestly don’t mind them playing Skylanders as it can be quite silly with them earning different hats and it forces my kids to work together!  In case you haven’t seen the game before, when using two players there is a string attached to the players in the game so they have to go in the same direction and work together!  It is adorable to see my boys play together.

     The problem though that we’ve been having that my boys want to play Skylanders and not work on homework.  Even if they don’t have homework, I want them practicing every day on workbook pages especially this summer.  I actually plan this summer to work with them for at least an hour each day so they don’t forget everything they had learned!  So whats a mom to do to get her kids excited for homework?  How about incorporating Skylanders Giants!

    Yes Skylanders Giants has come out with a Skylanders Giants Homework Pack that features five chapters of fun – bascially one for each week day!

    • Monday: History (Skylanders story – SSA and Giants)
    • Tuesday: Science (elemental sources)
    • Wednesday: Characters (character’s abilities, strengths and weaknesses)
    • Thursday: Technology (practicalities of what and how to buy and play)
    • Friday: Art (to include dot-to-dot and drawing of key characters)

    The Skylanders Giants Homework Pack using them Skylanders characters and story line and incorporates it into homework.  For example, in History there is a story kids need to read about the history of Skylanders and then answer questions about the story.  Kids think they are just hearing about Skylanders but really they are reading, remembering the story and answering questions.  It keeps them thinking about the story and really paying attention for all the “chapters!”  I downloaded this pack for my boys and I have been reading it to them and having them work together to answer the questions.  I hope to do this every few weeks and see if they can continue to answer the questions and hopefully get faster at comprehending them.

      My youngest loves skylanders. I think it’s a pretty neat game, too. I like the fact he can use different characters and play the same game over and over.

      Lol I just did the giveaway about applebutter and than I came to this Skylanders one and got confused because of all of the apple butter posts >.<
      My daughter LOVES Skylanders and I made her an awesome Skylanders b-day cake. 😀 She would love to win this. Would also love to win the apple butter, lol!

      I was able to give my grandsons the Skylanders Easter basket this year, what a hit it was! Skylanders are definitely a favorite in my house.

      I would use Musselman apple butter on my toast as I use my Skylanders doing my homework and then I would be full and happy. Thank you
