    The hilarious Nickelodeon movie, Nicky Deuce, arrives on DVD July 2 from Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment and MarVista Entertainment.  Based on the book “Nicky Deuce: Welcome To The Family” by Steve Schirripa and Charles Fleming, the laugh-out-loud adventure reunites original cast members of “The Sopranos,” including Steve Schirripa, James Gandolfini, Michael Imperioli, Tony Sirico and Vincent Curatola.  Also starring Noah Munck (“iCarly”), Rita Moreno (“Happily Divorced”) and Cristine Prosperi (“Degrassi”), the exciting journey follows a sheltered suburban teen who has the vacation of a lifetime when he is forced to spend the summer in Brooklyn, New York with the family he never knew he had.  Nicky Deuce originally aired on Nickelodeon on May 27, 2013.

      Something funny about my 6 yr old. She is always saying she is going to New York. She will ask where we going, New York City? Don’t know how she got the fascination with New York City but I hope to take her one day.

      I have always been intrigued by the mob. I remember a really elderly neighbor gentleman talking about a mobster coming into a restaurant or something in Chicago. I was too young to remember the story & it wasn’t being told to me, but to other adults. Mobster movies are still my favorite.

      So … growing up in NJ – I was at a friend’s house when I was asked to leave by the police – seems the murdered the maid and butler and buried their bodies in the basement – that house sat on the market for years and years before someone would buy it – LOL

      There are mobster in Phildelphia and my home state of New Jersey. They are everywhere, but I will always hop a train and head to New York City.

      I love visiting the Big Apple but don’t know if I could live there. I love the excitment of the city, the shopping, the restaurants, the theater. So much to do in the city that never sleeps.

      I think that Goodfellas is the best mob movie. Ray Liotta and Robert DeNiro did an excellent job portraying real-life people.

      I lived in Chicago for 10 years and never had any contact with a mobster. Kind of shocking, huh?

      I would want to see the mob museum in Las Vegas, since the mob made Vegas and I am sure most of the mob lived in New York and New Jersey, cool. information

      Relating to mobster tv shows: James Gandolfini grew up in my town and attended high school here. It was a sad week last week as his wake was held in town. I’ve heard they are thinking of renaming the theater at the high school after him.

      I hear upstate NY is absolutely beautiful! 😀 As for mobsters, I am quite fascinated with true crime, though I know this movie isn’t that type. Just a thought. LOL
