    School Lunches & Snacks With Boar’s Head Pepperoni #BoarsHeadBTS

    A few weeks ago I shared about our hectic mornings now that school started. This year is the first year I have to pack a lunch for one of my boys and of course he is a picky eater!  One thing my boys do like though is Boar’s Head lunchmeat.  My 5 year old is not as picky so I shared my recipe for Kid-Friendly Ovengold Roasted Breast of Turkey Wrap a few weeks ago, but for my 6 year old I was challenged due to his pickiness.  He is more of a pepperoni kinda-guy and luckily Boar’s Head has their own variety of pepperoni lunchmeat!  (Is pepperoni lunchmeat? I suppose it can be.)

    I was lucky and the small local grocery store we have nearby has a huge Boar’s Head selection:

    Here is the lunch I have been sending for my 6 year old:

    Ingredients:

    • Boar’s Head Sandwich StylePepperoni
    • Boar’s Head Swiss Cheese
    • Bagel Chips or Crackers

    These are so simple but so good and my son loves them!  They are like homemade Lunchables!  The Boar’s Head lunchmeat and cheese really make these little sandwiches pop!

    Boar’s Head has us covered whether we want cheese, meat or even sauces for our sandwich.   The quality of their food never lets us down and its something the whole family agrees on.  And again delicious!  I will actually be stopping at this little market store from now on just to buy my Boar’s Head lunchmeats and cheeses!

      My favorite lunchmeat is boiled ham. That and a slice of cheddar cheese and you have a good old fashioned ham and cheese sandwich. Yummy

      I love roast beef sandwiches… they are my favorite although I do eat chicken or turkey more often to cut down on the calories 🙂

      It’s a tie between deli ham and deli turkey, but I usually buy the ham because it keeps fresh a few days longer.

      My favorite lunchmeat is Boar’s Head Honey Smoked Turkey Breast! They sell Boar’s Head lunchmeat at our local Kroger deli and we usually get some type of their lunchmeat. Very rarely do we purchase any other brand.

      Yum! That looks so good right now- especially the pepperoni! My favorite lunch eat is ham. I’m pregnant right now with our first baby, and the experts discourage eating deli meat for fear of Lysteria. I’ve been heating my lunch meat lately to kill all bacteria, tough, because I just can’t go without it!

      My favorite lunch meats are definitely salami and pepperoni with lots of Swiss cheese and mustard. When I was pregnant with my first child…..I think that’s what I had for lunch almost every other day. I know..I know..your not supposed to eat deli meat when your pregnant. But all three of my kids were born healthy despite the huge amounts of deli meat I consumed.

      I wonder if Boar’s head makes it- I love what they call- “spiced ham”. LOL which is really NOT like ham- but I would say a LOT like a spam of a sort! LOL but I LOVE the stuff.

      I love smoked brisket, it’s scrumptious. It can be fatty, but you don’t need much of it to flavor a sandwich or a casserole.

      My favorite lunch meat is Boars Head boiled ham. I never had it growing up in the west but when I moved to the East I could not believe what I had been missing!

      I have been eating Boars Head lunchmeat for years. If I had to pick one, it would be the Oven Gold Turkey. Best on a french bread sub with mayo, mustard and dill pickles and swiss cheese. Then heat it just until the cheese melts. My mouth waters just thinking about it.

      I actually do not eat meat (although I love Tofurkey deli slices!) but my husband loves the Boar’s Head Blazing Buffalo Chicken.
