Most people probably eat candy as just pieces of candy, the normal way but then there are those who get creative with recipes and crafts. Now I am not really a crafty or creative person, but I was challenged to come with something Halloween-related that includes Hershey’s candy. All of the sudden the wheels started turning and the light bulb came out and I decided to make my famous Brownies with a Secret Ingredient and put out Hershey’s candies for toppings! Everyone in my family likes something different so rather than bake in the candy I figured making a Hershey’s candy topping buffet would be perfect.
By using Hershey’s candy in a dish, it not only bumps the flavor times 10 but it is a great way to use up all the Halloween candy you have (whether it be stuff you bought or from your own kids’ Trick or Treating.) There are so many recipes out there that you really shouldn’t find a problem incorporating Hershey’s candy into your favorite dessert.
So basically all I did was bake regular brownies and then put out varies Hershey’s candies in bowls for my family to choose from. Then while the brownies were still a little warm we pressed the candies into the brownies for extra chocolatey flavor. All I can say is amazing and once you do this, it is hard to go back to brownies without Hershey’s candy on them! Its so easy but changes up the dish to something new and customized per each person’s tastes. My kids were thrilled to have a Candy and Brownie buffet!
