One of the worst times for a parent is when their child is sick. Parents are helpless and that can be the worst feeling in the world. As a mom of three I have had my fair share of sick moments and the only thing that helps is the first smile after the sickness. You know that smile where you can see that your child has finally beat the sickness and is on the road to recovery? Yeah for TYLENOL® kicking in! No more tears (from the child or the parent) and no more feeling helpless. I love that moment when my child is back to normal and smiling, even though it means they have lots of energy from days of being sick on the couch. I’m not the only mom either who is overjoyed by smiles on their sick child, as TYLENOL® conducted a survey which showed that 89% of moms with young children agree there is nothing better their child’s smile to let them know they are feeling better after a fever, cold or flu.
Here is my little one who was feeling better while we were on vacation:
Well TYLENOL® has created a new campaign called SMILING IT FORWARD™ that is all about moms (and dads) showing off their children’s beautiful smiles. The campaign was set in motion by How I Met Your Mother star and social media mother of two, Alyson Hannigan. She shared the first “smile” of her two daughters which triggered the first donation from TYLENOL® to Children’s Health Fund, an organization well-known for its mobile medical clinics that provide healthcare services to underserved children throughout the U.S. TYLENOL® has been helping create those “feel better” smiles for more than 50 years and they want to continue on. Through SMILING IT FORWARD™, TYLENOL® aims to showcase 100,000 smiles in order to help the 85,000 low-income urban and rural children who are served by Children’s Health Fund each year.
From now until mid-January, moms across the country can join in by sharing their own smiles at SmilingItForward.com, which in turn TYLENOL® will make a $1 donation to Children’s Health Fun, up to $100,000, helping to ensure that a doctor’s visit is always within reach for a child in need. So basically all you have to do is upload a picture of your child and once TYLENOL® approves it, TYLENOL® will donate $1!
