Disclosure: I received a gift card in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
This Christmas all three of my kids are at a good age where I feel they are really going to enjoy Christmas. Not that they haven’t enjoyed it before, but I just feel that my youngest, she’s 2.5 years old, is finally excited for presents and my boys at 5 and 6 are overjoyed for Christmas. Our first Christmas as a family was in our first house, and I feel like it was forever ago. We only had one Christmas there with our first child and then we moved the following the month, so it was a little hectic. I remember shopping though and buying probably way too much because he was my first child and I had to spoil him!
I couldn’t find my son’s first Christmas, but here is my kid’s Christmas picture from last year:
The next Christmas we were in a very small house that we had never planned on living in with now two kids. All of our Christmas stuff was in storage and I was not in a celebrating mood, but my husband insisted on having a tree. So I picked up a small like 4 foot tree and that was it for our decorations. Finally, our next Christmas was in the house that we currently live in and never plan on moving from, and this time we had three kids! It was definitely a few years of craziness that I feel like my boys didn’t get a real Christmas until we moved into our current house a few years ago.
I decided to go all out from that point forward, and go all out I do. I decorate everywhere inside and out, focus on quality presents instead of quantity and I’m teaching my kids about how Christmas is not just about getting presents. One store I have shopped at since my kids were in my tummy, is Babies “R” Us, and I still shop there. In my area my Babies “R” Us was combined with Toys “R” Us, with a section of the store dedicated to the Babies “R” Us fashions and items I’m looking for. Whether it be for one of my own kids or as a gift, I always have luck at Babies “R” Us, maybe too much luck my husband would say!
