Chicken Soup for the Soul: Just Us Girls: 101 Stories about Friendship for Women of All Ages
By Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen & Amy Newmark
400 Pages (Paperback)
Date Published: November 5, 2013
A woman’s friends are the family she picks herself. This collection of 101 touching and amusing stories celebrates all that is special about the bonds that women share with their friends – the unique spirit of female friendship.
Whether it’s about something funny or serious, our friends are the first ones we think to call. They are a constant source of support and encouragement. This book is filled with great friendship stories that you’ll love reading and sharing with your friends.
This is a great book because it all about women and friendships. I think sometimes as women we get caught up with work and family that friends take the back burner, but they are important to have. My oldest friend that I still talk to and see has been my friend for almost 20 years now, and even though we are so busy with our own lives its like time hasn’t passed when we get tougher. Now instead of us chasing boys, we are chasing kids, although that’s not too different! There are 101 stories in this book that are real stories from women all about new friends, old friends, and making friends. When we were younger, making friends was definitely a lot easier than it is now that we are older, or at least for me it feels that way. I loved reading these stories and relating to them. The best part though is they are short stories, 2-3 pages each that are perfect for busy women to read whenever she gets a few minutes. They are uplighting, inspiring, funny and just great stories to read.
