    Ready, Set, Sled! Just in time for the 2014 Winter Olympics, the engaging and entertaining family film The Little Penguin: Pororo’s Racing Adventure arrives on DVD and Digital, exclusively at Walmart, February 4th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. Watch as Pororo’s dreams come true when he participates in the ultimate Super Sled race with his friends. Awarded the Dove Seal of Approval, this fun-filled adventure features an exceptional cast of voice talent including Rob Schneider (Grown Ups), Drake Bell (TV’s “Drake & Josh”), Anthony Anderson (TV’s “Guys with Kids”), Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Jerry Trainor (TV’s “T.U.F.F. Puppy”) and Jay Mohr (Are We There Yet?).

    Curious little penguin Pororo and his friends accidentally cause an airplane to make an emergency landing at their village. After giving the villagers lessons in ice sled racing and passing on the championship spirit, the plane’s crew must get going so Pororo and his friends hitch a ride to Northpia to participate in the Super Sled race and become the next champion. But to win, they must compete against the former champions, The White Tigers, the win-at-all-cost Brown Bears and numerous other teams!

    Based on the wildly popular Korean television series, The Little Penguin: Pororo’s Racing Adventure features a star-studded soundtrack with music by multi-platinum recording artists Smash Mouth along with Drake Bell, Parker Theory and The Selectrics.  The DVD bonus materials include a behind-the-scenes voice recording featurette and a sneak peek of award-winning shorts from Minisculeand.

    First off I had never heard of Pororo, but apparently he is a big deal in Korea (I did find a whole bunch of Pororo items on Amazon as well if your kids really get into it.)  This is an adorable underdog movie that was perfect for us to watch to go along with the Winter Olympics!  It reminded me of the bobsled races and is cute to see Pororo get involved in racing and compete.  I will say I was surprised at how long this movie is, almost two hours, but it did make for a good family movie night.  I will say too that my two year old has never laughed so hard at something on television until she watched this movie!  As an adult it was neat to hear actors voices I recognized, while my kids loved the colorful animation.  This is a cute movie that we will be watching again.

      We live in CA so the “Winter” activities really aren’t different from the rest of the year LOL. My sons love playing out in the backyard…swings, slide, ect.

      My son loves to play outside a lot. I guess his favorite winter activity is being a total couch potatoe taking over the tv watching cartoons all day!

      My daughter loves to play in the snow with our dog. Our dog will actually turn herself into a sled and slide down hills, and then she will lie down and make a complete circle in the snow…we call then Snow Doggie Angels!

      My great niece and great nephew don’t go out too much in winter as the weather has been so harsh this year. I think they would enjoy sledding tho 🙂

      As weird as it sounds my grandson’s favorite activity seems to be shoveling. He will shovel before grabbing his sled any day.
