Ingredients:
- 1 lb. stew meat
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 onion,, diced or sliced however you’d like
- 1 tbsp. minced garlic
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. fresh minced ginger
- 1/2 cup hoisin sauce (I used Garlic Hoisin I found in the Asian aisle of our grocery store)
Obviously if you like more of something, than add more of it!
Directions:
- Mix everything into the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
I served with rice and broccoli. You could also pour all this in a freezer bag and freeze it! Just thaw overnight when you want to cook it.

This looks really easy and really good. I love Mongolian Beef at the Chinese resteraunt and this looks like it would taste pretty close. I like that it is cooked in the slow cooker too. I pinned it for later.

Yummm, I am always on the lookout for delicious crock pot recipes, and this one looks fantastic!! Mongolian Beef is one of my husbands FAVORITES to order when we go out to eat, and now I can make it at home, in the crock pot! It looks super easy to make, and my neighbors will probably come knocking once they get a whiff of this! Thanks for the post and pics! This is getting bookmarked!

I would use a steak and cut it into strips. Stew meat just has that “stew” taste and texture even after cooking in all these ingredients.

I like the ease of crock pot cooking, but forget I have one sometimes. Thanks for inspiring me to dust off that baby and get crocking.

My hubby is type 2 diabetic, so I replaced the brown sugar with Agave syrup, came out quite good, very flavorful.

This sounds super easy to make. My husband would love it. Tip for you, if you go to the asian grocer, they have very cheap items like soy sauce, hoisin sauce, fresh veggies, etc.

The way my father-in-law loves this from the Chinese place, I’m confident he’d enjoy having this made for him. I’ll have to share this with my mother-in-law for him. Thanks for this recipe. It looks really good too. (If I didn’t have a picky eating family, I’d make it myself!)
