    The Caillou Talking Doll is the first licensed product that will hit shelves as the Caillou brand leads into its 25th anniversary and celebrates 15 years on the air on PBS in 2015.  The Caillou Talking Doll proposes a fresh new look for this world renowned character, with bright new school gear including a removable backpack and hat.  The doll allows a whole new level of interaction between kids and Caillou, offering ten educational interactions meant to spark children’s creativity, including two quick and easy French words to learn and say.  Imports Dragon joined the ranks of Caillou licensees in 2009, since then additional licensed merchandise for the brand include the award winning bath time series, play sets and figures. 

    Based on a best-selling series of books, first published in 1990, Caillou is a unique preschool show that presents family and friend life-like situations & settings.  The stories are age appropriate and help children grow with self-esteem, confidence and independence.

    Dr. Francoise Dolto, a French psychoanalyst famous for her work with babies and children, inspired the  founders of Chouette Publishing, based in Quebec part of French Canada, to create Caillou.  She popularized the concept that children are people in their own right and should be respected as such. Caillou launched initially as a series of books and became a television series.  Caillou represents a 4 year old’s perspective on the world around him.

      My son Dominic who is 2 loves watching Caillou. He has learned so much from this educational channel . He has learned manners as far as saying thank you, welcome, sorry, exvcuse me, sir. Etc…. He has also learned to potty train from seing his book. This is truley a great. Educational character.

      Hi! I had no idea that this franchise was created by a French Psychotherapist. That is really neat & it makes sense as to why it is so popular with toddlers. What a great idea. My grandson would love this as he’s 1 1/2 years old! Thank-you

      My kids love Caillou. I love that it is a cartoon that I don’t have to worry about and I think its funny that he is four with no hair. 🙂

      My son just recently started watching Caillou and I love the show as a Mom! They have a simple, easy approach to each episode but it captivates my 4 yr old. I also love how they only use red, green and blue colors and it works s well 🙂

      My youngest grandson love Caillou. He asked to watch cartoons and says he wants Caillou on. If it’s not on he puts his head down and goes, “Ahhh.”
