Disclosure: I received this car to review for three months as part of the Toyota Sienna Diaries campaign.
So for the next few months I will be driving around a 2014 Toyota Sienna mini-van and believe me, my family will put it to the test. From picking my kids up from school to errands to road trips to grandmas, we pretty much live in my car. Now I’ve only driven the van for just over a week so far (since we were on a family vacation for a week) but so far I love it. It is easy to use, has features I never thought about but love now and it has a big trunk! Yes I think about trunk space since I usually have a stroller in there and tend to throw tons back there as we drive every where. Yes I have “junk in my trunk.”
What are some features right off the bat that I noticed and love:
- Sliding doors on both sides make it easy for my three kids to get in and out on their own (without dinging the car next to us)
- Two sunroofs – one in the front and one in the back (or really middle I should say)
- Push button start – I love that the car keys can stay in my coat pocket and I don’t have to dig them out
- Huge open center spot perfect for my purse, in addition to the center console which opens for storage
- Big cup holders that fit my cups
- DVD player in the front dashboard so I can easily change the DVD for my keys without crawling in the back
- Foot rests for middle row (my 7 year old absolutely loves this)
- Giant widescreen for DVD player (plus wireless headphones so I don’t have to listen to what they are listening to)
- Voice-command for pretty much everything such as phone calls, navigation and so forth
- Tethers for car seats to install them easily
- Rain sensing wiper blades – Yes these wipers turn on automatically if there is rain! Mind blowing!
There are so many more features, but these are the ones that popped into my head right away as amazing!
So follow my journey as I cruise around in our 2014 Toyota Sienna by checking out my Toyota Sienna blog posts and the hashtag #SiennaDiaries.
