At my house Summer is in full swing and learning has taken a backseat. We started the Summer off with my kids doing learning programs on the computer and worksheets without a fight to now you’d think I asked them to throw away all their toys when I ask them for 30 minutes on the educational computer program we have. They want to play video games or watch tv basically. We’ve had some crappy weather here in Chicago so outside hasn’t been much of an option. Well one way I figure I can get something educational or at least appropriate for them is to have them watch something that gets them thinking. I never thought about using Netflix before for finding brain-boosting entertainment but its not a bad idea! I figure if my kids are going to watch tv, it might as be something beneficial.
