Disclosure: I received the products below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
Did you know that common household cleaners can damage natural stone and lead to costly repair or replacement? I know when I first got a granite countertop I was totally clueless about how to clean it and used whatever I had on hand. No one explained to me that there are special cleaners designed for granite or that my old cleaners are not good on granite. For all the money we spent on the granite, how could I be so careless and not take care of it properly? Well that’s because natural stone doesn’t really come with an instruction manual of do’s and don’ts.
Well one brand that is safe and effective at cleaning and maintaining grantie is Granite Gold. They are non-toxic, non-acidic, pH balanced, biodegradeable, safe on food-prep surfaces and contain no phosphates or ammonia. I got to try out some of their products and they have become my new go-to products in the kitchen for cleaning. With 10 years of products and 50 years of stone care expertise, I think they know what they are doing!
- Granite Gold Daily Cleaner®: Our streak-free formula safely deep-cleans granite, marble, travertine and all other natural-stone and quartz surfaces. This granite cleaner quickly removes all types of spills and soils, and leaves a fresh citrus scent. The granite cleaner should be used regularly instead of typical, everyday household cleaning products, which can damage natural stone and lead to expensive repair or replacement.
- Granite Gold Sealer®: Sealing granite countertops and other natural-stone surfaces is made simple with Granite Gold Sealer – our easy-to-apply spray-and-wipe stone sealer that creates a barrier to protect all natural stone. Frequent use of the water-based stone sealer maintains maximum surface protection against staining, etching and soil build-up.
- Granite Gold Polish®: Our granite polish also works great on quartz surfaces such as Silestone, Corian and Cambria. Regular use after cleaning with our granite cleaner, Granite Gold Daily Cleaner®, will bring out stone’s natural beauty and provide ongoing protection against water spots and fingerprints.
- Granite Gold All-Surface Cleaner®: Developed to deep clean delicate fixtures with an overspray that’s safe on stone. The streak-free, non-toxic and non-abrasive formula won’t scratch surfaces.
- Granite Gold All-Surface Wipes®: Now’s there’s just one wipe that can do it all and formulated to deep clean stainless steel, glass, mirrors, brass, cooktops and more. The streak-free, non-toxic and non-abrasive formula won’t scratch surfaces.
- Granite Gold Scrub Sponge®: Designed specifically for natural stone surfaces, our granite cleaner scrub sponge is nonabrasive, safe on natural stone and can easily remove stuck food particles. It’s also safe for use on stone shower walls and tub surrounds, easily removing water deposits and soap scum without harming the stone surface.
I don’t have a favorite product since I use them all for different reasons but they all do work great. The Granite Gold Daily Cleaner is probably the product I use most because it is the one I use every day to clean my counters, often a few times a day. It really does make my counters fell clean and I know its not damaging my granite.
You can see where I wiped and how shiny and clean it is:
The Granite Gold All-Surface Wipes are great for quick messes on my granite counters and stainless steel appliances but it does say after using them to wipe down again with a cloth, which to me is doing extra work. They do a nice job though.
Before using the wipes:
After using the Granite Gold Wipes:
The Granite Gold Scrub Sponge is something I never thought of, I never thought about how I shouldn’t scrap at my granite as it could damage it. The Granite Gold Sealer and Polish cleaners are perfect to help maintain your granite and freshen it up. I love overall how the cleaners work without much elbow grease, don’t have a chemical smell and that they are convenient to use.
