Disclosure: I received this product to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
Handheld vacuums are something that can really be handy but in the past the suction hasn’t quite been there (at least in the handhelds I have owned.) I did try one a few years ago that is amazing but the price was $300, which is obviously not affordable for everyone.
Then I heard about the BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX Lithium Pivot Vac and I was curious how powerful it really would be. The suction, the battery life, the weight of it? Well this little vacuum sucks, in a good way.
In our basement we have a popcorn machine and for whatever reason, popcorn is the hardest thing to pick up with a vacuum that I usually end up using a broom to sweep it up. This little sucker sucked it up just fine and its light enough my kids can use it. Any vacuum my kids get excited to use is one that I am excited to own!
What makes this vacuum so great?
- Pivots for hard-to-reach spaces
- Quick charging base
- 3-stage filtration system with a pleated filter design for clean air exhaust
- Wide mouth to scoop up large debris
- Flip up crevice brush and tool
- Lithium Ion battery for strong suction and fade-free power throughout use
- Easy to clean translucent, bag less dirt bowl has 42% more capacity than the original Pivot Vac and it includes a side door function for emptying dirt.
Overall, the BLACK+DECKER 20V MAX Lithium Pivot Vac has great suction, great battery life and is not too heavy that you don’t want to use it. If handheld vacuums have turned you off in the past, I highly recommend giving this one a chance. For the price of less than $100 it has really surprised me.
BUY IT: The Black+Decker MAX Lithium Pivot Vacuum, 20-volt can be purchased currently for $65.16 on Amazon or look for it at retailer near you.

This vacuum by Black and Decker MAX Lithium Pivot Vacuum, sounds very efficient and I like the small size and would be convenient in your hands and easier to handle especially if you have arthritis in your hands. Bagless and quick recharging sounds like it would be great for spot cleaning.

We’ve only owned one handheld vacuum and that was forever ago! I think that thing pooped out on us because I don’t remember seeing it in quite some time. This post reminds me we should invest in a new one.

A hand vacuum that pivots and can reach narrow places? I love that!
