Next month my family and I are heading to Disney World and even though we’ve been there before, I love hearing what everyone else’s must-do’s are. I know some feel Disney World’s prices are extortion but the value really is there. We actually haven’t been there for 3 years now and it seems like a lot has changed in those three years! I am ashamed to admit too we’ve never really been to any of the restaurants in Disney as we have always done quick-service, drove into Kissimmee or had a meal from the conference I attended.
So what is your Disney Must-Do or Disney tip for me?

You are so lucky. I haven’t been to Disney World since my daughter was young and that was many years ago and she now has children of her own. I would love to take my grandchildren there. I would say just have a good time and take lots of pictures.

We are taking my in-laws with us, they have never been there!

I’ve been several times (I only live 4 hrs away!!), but our last trip provided the most tips. (In other words, it was not our best trip ever, lol!)
Take rain gear: it sounds annoying, but this is Florida, the weather is unpredictable at it’s best, and Disney’s ponchos are expensive and flimsy.
If you want to do Small World, go get in line the second the park opens. Absolutely go see the Monster’s Inc Laugh Factory, it is hysterical. Since your littles are younger, you might want to skip Lilo & Stitch- it’s a little intense and my then-5-y/o kind of freaked. (Honestly, so did I.)
I loved Animal Kingdom, but my animal-loving girls were mostly bored. Disney needs to rethink that one a bit. I didn’t even try to take them to Epcot, lol. 🙂 They did, however, enjoy Hollywood Studios, which surprised me.
And, last but not least, if you can at all afford it, stay on property. It is so expensive (the word extortion comes to mind!), but starting out early and taking a quick ride back to the room for an afternoon nap before the evening fun was priceless!!!
Have a super, super fun time!!

Thanks for the tips! We have never done the Monster’s Inc attraction so I will make sure we hit it!

My tip would be to relax and enjoy every minute. We don’t have anything like that in New Zealand . Wish I was in your suitcase when you go 🙂

Disney is definitely a magical place!

I was a concierge at Disney for several years, so you’re welcome to message me if you have questions! Food recommendations totally depend on budget/tastes/etc.

Thanks! I feel overwhelmed with everything!
