So my daughter is doing awesome with potty training but she still needs help. Bedtime and long trips we have been using Pull-Ups and they have been exactly what we needed. They are thin training pants that aren’t quite diapers but they aren’t quite underwear either. Basically they are the perfect transition or extra protection from accidents in our case.
What do we like about Pull-Ups? My favorite feature is that they actually hold in my daughter’s urine, so far she knows better than to poop in them. My daughter’s favorite feature is the character’s on them. She loves wearing her favorite Disney character each day. She is able to pull them up and down herself, just like big girl underwear, thanks to the stretchy sides. The sides can also be easily pulled open if you need to take it off, or my favorite I like to be able to easily slip on a new one while she has her pants on still.
It’s funny how even though I’ve potty trained two children before, training my daughter is different. Each child is different, just as it has been different training boys from my daughter. I’ve used rewards, charts, stickers and now there is even an app to help with potty training. The Time to Potty App is not only a reminder to put your child on the potty but it also rewards them with games. I think for me that is my biggest struggle is asking my daughter if she has to go as I am constantly busy with work and my two other kids. There is actually over 40 mini games available to unlock. It makes it easy to track the progress too with charts!
Then there is the Big Kid Academy website with tons more resources to help with potty training. Honestly potty training to me is my least favorite thing of parenting. It can be so stressful and overwhelming and I know that first hand. My first child was 4.5 years old when he was finally potty trained and I remember crying in the bathroom trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. As the Pull-Ups website says “Every Kid is Unique” and the website offers a personalized “My Pull-Ups” page with potty training activities and advice customized to where you are at with your child’s potty training journey.

Our grandson is geting to the potty training age.. I am dreading it.. We have him every other week. What makes it so hard is the fact that his mom won’t follow through. We get him off the bottle she gives it back because it is easier for her… sighs..
