    Organizing Gift Cards on Your Phone & Earning Points @gyft #gyft

    As a mom of three I tend to have a lot of gift cards laying around. I have cards from my kid’s birthdays to ones I have earned and ones I have from who knows where. The problem I keep having though is I go to a store and realize I left the gift card at home. I can’t even tell you how many times I have done that.

    In comes Gyft to save the day.  So what is Gyft?

    Gyft is a website whose motto is “We believe that no one should have to use a plastic gift card ever again.”  They are a digital gift card platform that manages gift cards right on your smartphone via the Gyft App.

    Organize Your Gift Cards in One Place…

    With Gyft you can not only buy gift cards for tons of stores but you can also add your own gift cards to it.  I have a huge stack of gift cards that I will be adding as soon as I have some time. The app does say to keep the physical cards just in case the store has a problem with the electronic one but so far the few I have used I haven’t had a problem. Once the card is empty I just Archive it and move it out of my active cards.  Gyft won’t tell you the balance of cards but I just use the cards until the store receipts tell me the balance is $0.

    Use it…Now!

    I don’t remember when I discovered Gyft but I have been using it for awhile not.  The ability to have all my gift cards right on my phone instead of jammed in my wallet has been a lifesaver for me.  No more forgetting gift cards at home and having to wreck my budget by spending my own money that I hadn’t planned on.

    My Favorite Feature…

    I haven’t even touched on though my other favorite feature of Gyft. That being the ability to earn points by buying gift cards from Gyft! Yep users earn points on Gyft for each $1 spent.  The points you earn depends on how you paid whether its from Bitcoin, Google Wallet, Paypal or a credit card.  I usually pay for Gyft gift cards with Paypal and it takes just a minute to earn points for a gift card I was going to buy anyways!  Then to make it even easier the gift card is saved right on my Gyft app so its ready for when I need it in the store.

    Redeeming for Points…

    So once you have the Gyft points you can then redeem them for other gift cards.  For example, I currently have earned 1,218 in Gyft Points (which is $12.18) which I can then redeem towards any gift card such as a $15 Amazon gift card for just $2.82!

    Free Money…Yes Free Money!

    The Gyft Points are basically free money.  They are points that equal pennies but add up quickly and like I said they are free!  There is the little bit of extra work in buying the gift card through the Gyft app but really its no different than buying it from the company’s website in the first place.  I am saving up my points to redeem for a big gift card but there is no minimum, you can redeem points for any money off a gift card.  That is nice too as I hate when companies have minimums that are basically unreachable.

    Overall…

    I love Gyft and recommend it highly.  It makes my life so much easier and simpler by having everything in one place.  Earning points is a bonus!

      I am not sure since it all depends on what I am shopping for at the time…like best buy I like for electronics, target or one of those might be for another thing I am looking for… that would be hard to choose one
