My kids are often jealous of the gadgets I get and curious about them. I admit though sometimes I am jealous of their gadgets and wish I had more time to sit and just play with them. A recent gadget I got for my kids to check out is New VTech Kidizoom Action Cam. Seriously it is super cool! Think of it like a GoPro built for kids!

- Comes with lots of fun accessories including a waterproof case, mounting kit and wrist strap
- Built to withstand drops and bumps
- 1.4 inch color LCD screen
Before I even got this out of the box, my kids were excited just looking at the box. I was impressed first off with all the accessories included. Usually accessories are extra but not with this camera.
The camera is perfect for kids. I honestly keep the waterproof case on it all the time, for extra protection and my kids take the camera everywhere. I love seeing what they created! The Kidizoom is both a camera and video camera in one, and its very easy to know which button to click as there are pictures on the buttons. My kids had this camera figured out before I had everything out of the box. They knew exactly what to push, how to add fun stuff to the pictures, how to play games and they even figured out how to mount it to their bikes by looking at the box! My one son had the idea to tie string on it so they could wear it around their neck rather than mounting it to their bike or something flat.

For a flat mount like a skateboard, you do need to use the adhesive sticker included and they didn’t want to do that. The string works great for us and the waterproof camera case does have two spots where the stick fits through perfectly. I will say that is the only thing I wish the camera came with is a way to easily (and more neatly) wear it, like a strap or necklace chain (which would be a lot better than the string I used!)
Overall though this camera is awesome for its price of $60. We have a big VTech camera my kids use but honestly never really take it anywhere because of how bulky it is. Now I don’t know how the megapixels on this camera compares to the megapixels on the bigger VTech cameras but I do think they are good enough. My kids are happy and this camera is built to withstand their abuse. We are even bringing this camera with us when we go on vacation soon as my boys can’t wait to use it on the cruise we are going on and with the waterproof case, I feel even better with using it! Definitely worth the price and perfect for summer fun!
