    The Kratt Brothers are always on the move, and in this DVD, that is never truer! In “Cheetah Racer,” Chris and Martin think that cheetahs can travel faster than any other creature or vehicle over the rough African savannah, but Aviva and archenemy Zach Varmitech challenge this and compete to build a ground racer that can travel even faster. The speed theme continues with “Falcon City.” In this episode the brothers fly with the world’s fastest animal, the Peregrine falcon. The brothers discover that Varmitech and his Zachbots are threatening to destroy a Peregrine falcon’s nest located on a city building. Can Martin and Chris pull off a high flying rescue?

    In each episode of WILD KRATTS, creature teachers Chris Kratt and Martin Kratt take kids and their families along on extraordinary animal-powered adventures. The show transforms the Kratt Brothers, creators of the award-winning KRATTS’ CREATURES and Emmy-winning ZOBOOMAFOO, into animated versions of themselves, allowing the real-life zoologists to visit wild animals in their little-seen habitats and showcase key science concepts along the way. WILD KRATTS airs weekdays on PBS KIDS (check local listings).

    The episodes included on this DVD are:

    “Cheetah Racer”

    Chris and Martin announce that no creature or vehicle can travel as fast over the rough and tumble African savannah as the cheetah. Aviva takes the challenge and declares she will build a ground racer that can run even faster than a cheetah. Of course Zach wants to prove that he is a better inventor than Aviva and joins the race. The team, inspired by the cheetah, “revs up” to explore the different functions required for speed to build a cheetah racer and win the race.

    “Falcon City”

    The Kratt brothers are itching to fly with the world’s fastest animal, the Peregrine falcon, which can hit top speeds of 240 mph. But their efforts are side-tracked when the rest of the Wild Kratts team challenges them to find the falcon in the city instead of in the wild, and Chris’ Creature Power Suit is accidentally activated with Pigeon Powers! But then they discover that Zach is sending his Zachbots to clean off a building that has a Peregrine falcon nest! Martin and Chris must activate their Peregrine falcon powers and harness the force of gravity to pull off a high flying creature rescue!

    My kids love Wild Kratts and honestly I love them as well.  The show is fun, educational and it actually inspires my kids to want to learn more. Super Sprinters contains two full episodes featuring the Kratt brothers with cheetahs and falcons. The show uses both animation as well as the real life Kratt brothers with real animals.  It is great to see the real animals after seeing them animated. The episodes feature great lessons for kids as well as facts about the animals. I cannot rave enough about how much I love when my kids start rambling off facts to their friends about the animals we just watched! It is a great DVD for kids to watch whenever they are in the mood for some animals. We actually like to keep our DVDs in the car since I feel like we are always on the go especially in the summer!

    Oh and too go along with the new DVD “Super Sprinters” there is a great companion toy for kids to play with.  Wild Kratts, Animal Power Set, Cheetah Power features a Kratt brother along with a cheetah and a power disc. This is a great little set that kids can play with while they are watching the show or just to have their favorite characters with them.

      My kids are all grown. I know my one daughter loves dolphins & my other one loves dogs. I love lions.

      My kids are into sloth right now. I do not find the fascination but they think sloths are adorable.

      I’m not sure that my daughter has a favorite animal. She, like most kids, especially enjoys the ones that she can pet, but she loves animals in general.

      My daughter love elephants,she has stuffed animal elephants,elephant bookends,bed spreads and sheets in elephant print,she’s a serious elephant fan!

      My grandson likes all sorts of animals, he likes looking at them in his different story books he has. Oh, and he has a pet cat names Sophie too.
