I received a gift card and product in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
The point of a dishwasher is to wash the dishes, right? Well when you have to hand wash dishes both before and after the dishwashing cycle, it kinda defeats the purpose. Well Finish® has come out a new product that maximizes clean and minimizes your footprint with New Finish® Max in 1 dishwashing detergent.
Finish® Max in 1 is similar to Powerball but now without a wrapper. For extra cleaning power and shine they also contain new Glass Protection ingredients. I can’t attest to how they work as far as dissolving from the dispenser as honestly I don’t put them in my dishwasher’s dispenser as I’ve had problems in the past with the dispenser not opening. I just toss them into the bottom of my dishwasher and run my dishwasher as normal.
As far as how well Finish® Max in 1 works, I don’t have any complaints. I did have a few dishes that didn’t get cleaned as well as I’d like but they had crusted on food that I even had trouble hand washing. I like that there is no wrapper to remove and they come in a nice resealable bag. Super easy to use and no more re-washing dishes constantly!
Most important though is loading the dishwasher the right way, here are some tips from Finish®:
- First scrape off large food particles and do not pre-rinse. The detergent’s job is to cling to food and help wash it away.
- Don’t stack silverware.
- Load large soiled dishes on bottom where the best water flow is. Face stains towards the sprayer arms and cups on an angle so water can run off.
- Check your water temperature in your house using a glass of hot water from your kitchen sink and a meat thermometer to make sure it is at least 120 degrees F.
- Always make sure what you put in the dishwasher is dishwasher safe.
