If you have a kid ages 6 through teens then you have probably heard of Minecraft. My son first discovered Minecraft on his tablet after seeing a friend play it and then we had to get it for our Xbox and then computer. Minecraft is not just on our devices though, it is on my son’s clothes, books, and even toys. My boys basically breathe Minecraft and I admit at first I thought it was just a phase. I don’t mind them playing some Minecraft though as they are learning problem solving, decision making, working together and sharing while playing and I am sure that is not everything.
Well Super League Gaming knows that 1) kids like to play Minecraft together and 2) the bigger the screen the better and that is why they have brought Minecraft to the big screen!
SuperLeague.com is the first in-theater gaming league set inside major movie theaters across the country where gamers can socialize, move around the theater, and compete in a recreational setting. We’re the “minor league” of gaming.
Our 6-week, after-school leagues starts next month and it is practically brain food for kids! Super League’s after-school enrichment program leverages Minecraft on a BIG screen for a social, fun, and interactive learning experience. Minecraft is already well known for its educational value, but Super League takes it one step further by assigning participants to teams of 4-7 where they work together towards a common goal.
Most players are 6-18 years old, but all Minecraft players are welcome. All games will begin at 4:30pm and tickets are $80 per season pass if purchased before September 30, or $100 after September 30. That gives you 6 sessions of Minecraft! This is a great opportunity for parents to get their gamer kids out of the house for a night of interactive gaming.

My kids did this awhile ago, and the folks who ran it were AWESOME when the laptops my dad brought didn’t work right. My daughter had a blast – and now plays Minecraft even more. Of course.
