I received the product below to review in exchange for sharing my honest opinion.
So we have a lot of parties at my house year-round and I have quite the collection of trays and containers to store and display the food. Winter usually isn’t bad because we are inside but summertime means the food is outside along with bugs. One year we had a huge pig roast but it was so buggy and gross outside that we had to keep all the food inside. While the party was supposed to be primarily outside, we had people going in and out for food. I tried keeping it outside but the plastic wrap was a pain to keep covering up the trays of food.
Then I heard about “The Cater Dome” and I seriously was amazed. It is a simple container but it has so many great features it makes you think “Why didn’t I think of that?”
- Stay-open lid
- Durable acrylic build
- Can hold a half-sized aluminum pan (yep like the ones from catering companies)
- Microwaveable and freezer safe food grade inner tray (BPA Free)
- Stackable
- Easy to carry
- Comes in a variety of colors
- Easily washed, even in the dishwasher!
When I saw these trays I immediately envisioned how easy a picnic and BBQ would be thanks to The Cater Dome. I absolutely love that I can pop aluminum trays in them and that I can have the lid easily opened and closed. It is such a genius invention! There are times when its just the five of us and we bring some food to eat outside on the deck but again I have to worry about keeping it bug free – these would be perfect for that too!
While these may seem like a summer product I can see them being useful year-round as well. I am thinking for Christmas it will be nice for displaying our Christmas cookies. The Cater Dome is not sealed around so you can’t leave food in it that might get stale but for a party it is easy enough to pop out and wrap for storage.
The Cater Dome would make a great gift too for those that often host parties or even for someone to keep if you bring a dish to their house for the holidays. Its priced at just $20 a container and it is definitely worth it.
