If you have kitties, please keep ribbons and tinsel away from them this holiday season. Cats will ingest it and it can get caught in their intestines or stomachs. Surgery will be needed to remove it. Look for decorations that won’t tempt your pet.

Oh, I love this book! I always thought that it was wonderful to grow up in an era where Chris Van Allsburg was writing and illustrating books. This story had everything that I love in it: Christmas magic, soft snow, trains, and rich illustrations. I can’t believe it’s been 30 years! Now I’m sharing this book with my daughter. Thank goodness for the classics!
