7 Reasons We Love Pop Century Resort {Disney World}

Years ago my family and I stayed one night at Pop Century Resort and then we kinda forgot about the hotel. We stayed at many other Disney World properties since then but this past October we decided to give Pop Century another try.

As a family of five we are limited with affordable properties on Disney World grounds but we decided to book two rooms at Pop Century for the five of us and it was absolutely perfect.

Here are 7 reasons my family loves Pop Century Resort at Disney World:

Affordable. The rooms on sale are around $120 something a night. Even at us booking two rooms it was still about the same price as booking a moderate room at a hotel which allows five people. We just had more room and with an adjoining door we just kept it open. Oh and two bathrooms since each room has one!

Pools. We asked for a pool view and it was so nice to look out over the balcony and see how crowded the pool was or check on the rest of our family. We stayed by the bowling pin pool which wasn’t the main pool but it was never crowded, had tons of seating and was the perfect temperature. Oh and lifeguards and towels are provided for free to use.

One spot for Disney buses. This is something I hadn’t thought about when we stayed at Port Riverside, which don’t get me wrong was a nice hotel. Port Riverside had four stops which meant when we finally arrived or left the hotel we had three stops before we got to ours. At the end of the day we honestly couldn’t wait to get off the bus and get to our room so this was quite a pain. Pop Century has one main spot for pickup/drop-off which made transportation very quick and efficient.

Cafeteria. With picky eaters and kids this is a must for us. I loved being able to get what everyone wanted and quickly. Not all the Disney hotels have a cafeteria and while restaurants are great, sometimes we need quick and lots of choices.

Complimentary WiFi. I think most Disney hotels offer free WiFi but I will say we had no problem using it. I connected each day to upload photos and check emails and never had problems. Other hotels charge $10 or so a day for this, I love that it is offered complimentary here.

Amazing Customer Service. Now I know there are people out there that have had bad experiences but everyone we dealt with was awesome and friendly. I had all my questions answered and I even had one employee give my son extra money for the arcade when we had problems with the card we were using.

Huge store to shop at. Other Disney hotels we have stayed at had stores to shop at of course but Pop Century has a huge store packed with so much in it! This was perfect for me to pick up souvenirs without having to stop in the parks and buy them! If you do buy items though in the parks, you can do Merchandise Delivery and Pickup which has your items delivered to Pop Century Resort for you to pick them up so you don’t have to carry them around.

Overall, we will definitely be staying at Pop Century Resort again. My husband who is very spoiled with hotels even agreed that the hotel is amongst our favorite Disney properties. Sure we’d love to stay at one of the Deluxe resorts but for now we are working with a budget and Pop Century is the way to go. Its affordable and did not let us down. Its crazy that we never thought of just booking two rooms together before!
