Here in Chicago we are quite familiar with winter weather. Snow is something that doesn’t phase us or shut us down. School and work still goes on and we just keep on shoveling.
Sometimes though it is nice to know when the winter weather will happen to somewhat plan ahead. Should I shovel the driveway tonight or wait until the morning? Should I leave work early to beat the snow? Could it snow enough that there might be snow day for schools?
SnowCast is an iOS app that will help users plan their days and week. It makes it super easy to understand how much snow will fall in your location within the next 6 hours or over the next 48 hours (in 6 hour increments.) It uses NOAA winter weather warnings and advisories in a simple and clean interface.
Now I couldn’t test the snowfall because we have crazy Spring weather going on here in Chicago but I do think it will come in handy when we do get snow coming. My kids love watching the weather and I think this app will be perfect for them to see whats going on.
You can set the app to send Push Notifications which I think will be super useful once we do start getting some weather here. I like too that you can easily change the location to other areas which is nice for traveling. The radar screen seems it will be a great visual to watch.
I love that SnowCast will be able to help me plan my days and make sure too my kids are prepared for snow!
Download the app and don’t be clueless about the upcoming winter weather.

The chance of my area having a white christmas this year is very low.
